CHICAGO – The Googan Squad and Catch Co., are happy to announce the addition of several new Micro Series rods to the Googan Rod lineup. In addition to these new rods, last week the brands also announced the Googan Squad Bumper, a double Colorado blade spinnerbait, and the Googan Squad Rival glide bait.

The new Googan Micro rods come equipped with a lighter tip to help anglers throw small lures with distance and accuracy, and the fast action gets the hooks buried into the target species while fishing small jigs and plastics. Combining these super light weight Micro rods with the Googan Squad 1000 size reels, provides Panfish and Trout anglers with the best combination of feeling and performance.

The 6’0” Micro Ultra Light Green Series rod excels at throwing the lightest lures including small inline spinners and will also be great for using corks or bobbers with live bait. Rated for 1/32 – 3/16 oz lures. The 7’0” Micro Light Green Series rods were built to throw artificials that target panfish and trout. Anglers will find success pairing these rods with the Googan Squad lineup of micro reaction baits, or their favorite inline spinners, small jigs and soft plastics.

The Green Series Micro rods are equipped with Ceramic Guides, for long smooth casts that hold up to the abuse of braided lines. The blanks are built with a blend of 24 and 30 ton carbon, for enhanced strength, sensitivity & durability. Similar to the other Googan Green Series rods, these Micro rods have EVA foam/cork handle, for durability and all-day comfort. A unique feature of these rods is the fish ruler built right into the blank to ensure you get a good measurement without the need for an additional piece of gear.

The Gold Series Micro rods come standard with Sea Guide Ceramic Insert Guides, producing smooth casting and handling along with proven Sea Guide quality. The Gold Series blanks, similar to the existing Gold Series rods in the lineup, are equipped with Advanced Composite 30/40 Ton Carbon Blanks, producing lightweight and extremely sensitive rods. A unique feature of the Gold Series is the premium cork grip, with flush cork inlay providing the look, comfort, and durability expected in a premium rod, as well as advanced taper blank design to assist panfish and trout anglers throwing light lures while still keeping plenty of hook setting power.
